AE Arma Elektropanc wins MEP deal on Al Maktoum Hospital Project

AE Arma Elektropanç has announced that it has won a contract for the completion of MEP works at Al Maktoum Hospital Site Redevelopment Phase 2 in Naif, Dubai.


The contract was awarded by main contractor Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast and will see AE execute all mechanical, electrical, extra light voltage and plumbing works on a turnkey basis. The project is scheduled to be completed on 16 April 2016.

Commenting on the award, Burak Kizilhan, deputy general manager and board member of AE, said: “We continue to sign prestigious projects in the UAE. This outstanding project is the third project we have been awarded in 2014. First we signed a contract for Abu Dhabi Marina City Development-Plot C2, followed by University of Dubai – one of the most prestigious educational projects in Dubai.

“We are also expecting to be awarded two more projects valued at approximately AED250 million [US$ 68 million] by the end of this year. Our target for 2015 is to be awarded AED 500 million [US$ 136 million] worth of projects in the UAE Qatar.

“AE is one of the leading MEP players in the world, having numerous projects and offices across the three continents of Europe, Asia and Africa. We became one of the leading MEP contractors in Middle East due to our numerous and prestigious project references going back 35 years, along with our well-experienced engineers and management team.”

The project, which is currently under construction, has an overall built-up area of 141,674 square meters and consists of four main buildings.

Building A is a 13-storey residential building with 190 apartments, Building B a nine-storey residential building with 166 apartments, Building C a 14-floor four-star hotel and serviced apartments with 196 guest rooms and 115 apartments, and Building D is a five-storey office block with 53 offices and 36 retail areas. The project will have a total electrical connected load of 23.5 megawatts (MW), according to news reports on ConstructionWeek Online.
