Bahrain's Diyar al Muharraq signs deal with Bin Faqeeh for Dragon Apartments in Dragon City

Close on the heels of the school development project announced recently, Bahrain’s Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the biggest private urban development projects in the Kingdom spanning an area of 12 square kilometers, has announced a corporate deal with Bin Faqeeh Real Estate Development Company for the development of a residential complex called the Dragon Apartments.

Dragon Apartments is spread over an area of 20,000 square meters inside Dragon City located in proximity to the Dragon Mall. It comprises a five multi-storey residential buildings with a total of 300 apartments. Construction work has already begun on the apartments and is due for completion around June 2015.

Speaking about the significance of the signing, Chief Executive Officer of Diyar Al Muharraq, Dr. Maher Al Shaer said: “The project is set to be greatly advantageous to those who have commercially invested in Dragon Mall as it would provide the ideal residence for those working in the Mall.”

Dragon City, within which Dragon Apartments is to being built, is situated on the South West corner of Diyar Al Muharraq on 115,000 square meters. The city will boast 780 shops with 4,500 square meters of land earmarked for warehousing. The project also includes a 6,000 square meter dining street and car parking for 1,500 vehicles. With the foundations of both the Mall and the Dining Street already laid, the completion of all works is due by mid-2015, according to local news reports.
