Burj 2020 District Masterplan for Dubai's Tallest Commercial Tower -Four Bids for Design

Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC), the The Dubai government authority in charge of development of the surroundings of the Jumeirah Lakes Towers Free Zone announced the participation of four design firms in its "Burj 2020" District Master plan design competition, the plan to develop the area surrounding the proposed tallest commercial tower in Dubai.
DMCC had announced its plans for the tower in July last year and the groundbreaking for the same is expected to take place next year at the site.
The proposed tower and district aim to create an urban business destination to showcase a blend of contemporary and traditional elements,with the tower as the centerpiece, according to DMCC. The master-plan is also proposed to address transport methods and traffic flow issues in the district.
The Burj 2020 District is a project that aims to provide companies a single ownership, contiguous commercial property offering with proximity to local metro stations, cargo facilities, ports and airports.Back to all Construction News
