Canadian government floats tenders for its Expo 2020 Dubai pavilion

According to *Tradearabia news report, the Canadian government has floated tenders for the design and construction of the country's pavilion at the upcoming Expo 2020 event in Dubai, said a report.

The scope of work also includes the operation and maintenance of the pavilion and the exhibition throughout the six-month operation period besides the dismantling and removal of the everything including restoration of the site, reported the Construction Index.

The site mobilisation is due to start this October and the final design will be ready in January, it stated.

The shell and core are due for completion in mid May 2020, with the interior fit-out completed by late August and the exhibit installed by September 20, said the report.

The estimated maximum funding available for the contract resulting from the bid solicitation is C$13 million for the design, build, operation, maintenance and dismantling of the pavilion and C$3 million for the public presentation, it added.
