Construction begins on East Hidd project

According to a report in the Gulf Daily News, a Bahrain daily, the Ministry of Housing, Bahrain has started work on the East Hidd housing project with a multi-million agreement  signed to construct the first phase of the project, which includes 483 units.


A consortium including Kuwaiti Khalid Ali Al Kharafi and Brothers Company and Bahraini Nass Group undertook the project, scheduled to be completed within 18 months.

The BD 18 million project is financed by the Kuwaiti government under the GCC Development programme as part of a project to construct 4,000 housing units in addition to infrastructure services, Housing Minister Bassem Al Hamer said. A tender will be announced soon for the second phase of the project, which features 399 housing units, he added.
