Marriott Hotels plans two new hotels in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia

According to a company statement, Marriott International has revealed plans for two new Residence Inn properties in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.The Residence Inn in Kuwait City with 139 suites, and the Residence Inn in Jazan in Saudi comprising 79 suites are part of the company's grand expansion plans to open 12 hotels with an addition of 1,228 rooms to the extended stay sector across the Middle East and Africa by 2018. The plans also include additionally, six properties in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Gabon, and Ethiopia will be launched soon, doubling the brand’s presence in the region.[..]

The UAE Ministry of Public Works has announced its annual plans for the development and extension of roads, energy efficient street lighting, construction of rest areas on highways and pedestrian bridges. Key projects include a project to extend Emirates Road from Umm Al Quwain to Ras Al Khaimah by 23 kilometers, valued at US$ 60 million and another project, valued at US$ 40 million, linking Ittihad road and Falaj Al Mualla to a primary entry point in Umm Al Quwain.[..]
