Sewerage deal scrapped in Kuwait Ahmadi governorate due to breach of terms, KD 18 mn worth road and sewage projects available

According to reports in the Kuwait Times, a national daily, the Ministry of Public Work (MPW) is looking for a new contractor to carry out full maintenance works of Riqqa’s sewerage system, after the project’s initial contract was terminated when the contractor failed to meet the deadline. The ministry exercised a clause in all its contracts which gives it the right to take punitive measures that includes termination of the contract if the contractor fails to honor his obligations, minister Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim said. Ibrahim, who is also the Minister of Electricity and Water, said that the total value of road and sewerage network maintenance contracts in Ahmadi governorate is KD 17.721 million.[..]
