The BD 18.1 million (US$ 47.9 million) Pearl Trail project in Muharraq has been given the green light. Four contracts totaling US$ 439 million of Gulf Drilling International (GDI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Gulf International Services (GIS) with Qatar Petroleum for the provision of onshore  rigs, were extended for a period of five years with effect from second quarter of 2014. The rigs GDI-1, GDI-2 , GDI-3 and GDI-4 have been working for QP's Dukhan oil fields exclusively since their acquisition in 2004, 2005, 2008, and 2006, respectively.[..]

HLS has been appointed under a contract of US$ 26.7 million (OMR 10.3 million) by Leighton Middle East, the Habtoor Leighton Group’s (HLG) Omani arm, to execute the complete MEP project on a hotel at the Saraya Bandar Jissah complex near Muscat.
