Imdaad to set up Dhs.100 Million material recovery facility in TechnoPark

Integrated facilities management firm Imdaad signed an agreement to set up a Dhs.100 million material recovery facility at TechnoPark in Jebel Ali to recover the recyclables from solid waste collected by Imdaad, said a press statement. The plant will be built over an area of 60,000 square meters and will have the capability to recover maximum recyclables generated from the Jebel Ali area including the World Expo 2020 venue.[..]

GCC/ALEC JV bags Doha Festival City $453mn contract

Bawabat Al Shamal Real Estate Company (BASREC), owner of Doha Festival City  awarded a $453mn construction contract to a joint venture of Gulf Contracting Company (GCC) with ALEC for the main works package, the company said in a statement.  The main works contract is due to start in July 2014. The mall is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2016. It will house 550 outlets including 85 restaurants and cafes, the country's first-of-its-kind Entertainment Zone which will include VOX Cinemas and a snow park, and will feature around 8,000 parking spaces.[..]

Nakheel issues tender to build community retail centre in Badrah area

UPC announces approval of 13 developments for Abu Dhabi in Q1, 2014

Abu Dhabi’s Urban Planning Council (UPC) announced that it approved 13 developments in the first quarter of 2014 covering over four million square metres. Five of those approved were master plan projects, with separated multiple buildings a road network and community facilities while the other eight were detailed project plans, which can be both single building and multi building projects connected by a podium.[..]
