Dubai-based Damac Properties has launched the residential tower within its Aykon City project, centrally located on Sheikh Zayed Road, overlooking the Dubai Canal.

The 60-storey tower will house the luxury apartment units and be part of the Aykon City development.

The release of the residential tower units follows on from the highly-successful launch of hotel apartments within the vibrant development and represents one of the few opportunities to own a luxury residence overlooking the Dubai Canal.

In this phase, two-bedroom units will be released with prices starting at $435,596 (AED1.6m).

Ziad El Chaar, managing director, Damac Properties, said: “The upcoming launch of residential units within this iconic development is a much-anticipated event with our investors and the community having expressed interest to purchase units when the project was first launched. This city is strategically located in what will be one of the most prime locations in Dubai, with its central location and connectivity to all parts of the emirate that is served through the extensive transportation network, including accessibility by car, metro or water taxi.”

“Taking centrestage at the development will be the first-of-its-kind AYKON Dare, that will become the next exciting attraction for thrill-seekers in Dubai, with breathtaking views from 935 feet (285 metres) above Sheikh Zayed Road, Safa Park and the Dubai Canal. In addition to this attraction, Aykon Plaza will be an elevated platform that will link the development and provide the community with beautiful areas to relax and unwind in and includes restaurants and cafes,” continued El Chaar, according to Constructionweekonline news report.

The project sales value is $2bn (AED7.4bn) with a completion date of 2021.
