Drake & Scull wins projects worth US$35 Million in Kuwait

Drake & Scull International was awarded three major deals in Kuwait worth around US$35 Million. The biggest of the three contracts is an engineering contract worth US$18.5mn for the construction of the new Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre in Kuwait City. The other contracts include a $16.3mn MEP deal for a healthcare facility in Kuwait and for two smaller commercial developments in Al-Qebla.

On the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre, Drake & Scull will be responsible for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of plumbing and firefighting works at the centre, which is near Al Salam Palace in the heart of Kuwait City. The work will be complete by October 2015.

The MEP work at the healthcare facility in Shuwaikh is understood to be in advance stages and will complete by March 2015, while the commercial developments will complete by June 2015.
