Drake & Scull wins US$ 90.9 mn MEP contract on Palm Jumeirah hotel project

Drake & Scull has won a US$ 90.9 million (AED 334 million) contract to complete MEP works at an unnamed hotel resort project on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah according to a news report.


The firm said that the project involves testing, commissioning and handover of MEP works for the hotel, which is a 360-room, five star property consisting of a ground and seven upper floors, according to reports on Construction Week Online. It will also have two residential buildings alongside and an outdoor pool area.The work will be completed by 2016.

CEO Khaldoun Tabari said: “We are pleased to start our second quarter with a significant project award for Drake & Scull Engineering. We achieved nearly AED 5 .9 billion (US$ 1.6 billion) in project awards in 2014 across MENA, Europe and Asia and are happy to maintain our streak of winning major projects in our key markets."
