Driver Consult (Oman) wins US$ 12.2 mn project management contract for Batinah Expressway

Driver Group, the global consultancy to the construction and engineering industries, has been awarded a OMR 4.72 million (US$ 12.2 million) project management contract by the Sultanate of Oman, Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Under the terms of the contract, Driver Consult (Oman) LLC will provide consultancy services for the management of the Batinah Expressway, according to news reports in ConstructionWeek Online.
The expressway is 272 kilometer long with 247.5 kilometer of link roads connecting the project to nearby towns. It is the westward continuation of the Muscat Expressway which extends from the end of Muscat Expressway towards Khatmat Milahah near the UAE border. The contract duration is three years and the project management team will consist of up to 26 consultants.
