Dubai Properties achieves key construction milestone of Bellevue Towers project

Dubai Properties, a leading real estate master developer in the UAE, has achieved a key construction milestone with the completion of the raft casting at its Bellevue Towers residential project in Dubai.


Valued at more than Dh200 million ($54.4 million), the two-tower development, is conveniently located in proximity to Marasi Business Bay waterfront and within walking distance of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, and is scheduled for handover in the third quarter of 2019, said a statement from the developer.

Dubai Properties pointed out that since mobilisation of construction works in May this year, the project had been proceeding as per schedule.

The raft foundation of the 717,156.57-sq-ft development was completed in just 48 hours, with 1,124 trucks delivering more than 9,500 cu m of concrete simultaneously to the site between September 29 and October 1.

The enabling works, including excavation, dewatering, pile cap cutting and treatment, saw more than 1,800 tonnes of reinforced steel used to construct the 5,067-sq-m raft, it stated.

In line with the highest global industry standards and compliant with Dubai Municipality regulations, Dubai Properties opted for a green concrete mix that was continuously poured at the rate of 200 cu m per hour.

Green concrete is a construction material known for its fire-resistant and eco-friendly properties, consuming less energy during production and emitting less carbon dioxide than conventional cement.

Speaking on the occasion, Marwan Al Kindi, the executive director of Dubai Properties, said: "The successful completion of this critically important phase of the development is testimony to our commitment to delivering best-in-class residential projects."

"Now that the full raft has been cast, work will begin on the main floors, with the construction on track for a timely delivery," noted Al Kindi.

Bellevue Towers is yet another example of a Dubai Properties development that meets the market demand for high-quality residential properties in strategic locations.

The two-tower complex will comprise 319 units including 159 one-bedroom apartments, 105 two-bedroom apartments, 42 three-bedroom apartments, 10 penthouses and three loft apartments, according to Tradearabia news report.

"Set to offer panoramic views of Downtown Dubai, the project will feature bespoke sustainable design with a contemporary façade and balconies or terraces for all apartments," noted Al Kindi.

"A high-end finish throughout the building, a landscaped podium terrace, and an extensive range of amenities - including a gym, a pool, a children’s pool and a playground - will guarantee an exceptional urban living experience," he added.
