Halcrow wins Sultan Bin Khalifa Roundabout project in Al Ain

Al Ain Municipality has awarded Halcrow, a CH2M Hill company a contract to design and supervise the construction of an underpass at Sultan Bin Khalifa Roundabout in the city.

The new underpass which is expected to cost US$38 Million is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2016.

Halcrow has previously completed a successful project to improve traffic movements in the schools area in Al Ain. The project will be headed by Adnan Hashmi, CH2M Hill’s project director for the construction of the underpass; Herman Kao, CH2M Hill’s project manager; and Jett Smith, CH2M Hill’s senior resident engineer.

Richard Beard, CH2M Hill’s regional market manager for transportation, said: “This win demonstrates the unique technical skills CH2M Hill offers its clients in the region. We are pleased to be given the opportunity to expand our involvement to other projects in Al Ain and are confident that this award marks the beginning of a growing and long relationship with the city."
