CSCEC middle east is awarded $60mn by JIIC

In UAE, Jubail Island Investment Company (JIIC) has awarded a 22-month contract worth $60mn to China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) for the construction of 150 townhouses within the Souk Al Jubail community on Jubail Island in Abu Dhabi. The townhouses at Souk Al Jubail will be two, three, and four bedrooms and will also include an amphitheatre, plazas and green spaces with playgrounds.

Adnoc Onshore awards a contract worth $173mn to Archirodon

Adnoc awarded a 3-year EPC contract worth $173 million to Archirodon Construction Overseas Company to boost production capacity at one of its largest oil fields, Asab. The project will boost the capacity of Murban crude from Asab by 12% and also increase the handling capacity of the Asab Central Degassing Station.

NEOM HQ awarded major drill and blast tunneling contracts

In Saudi Arabia, NEOM has awarded drill and blast tunneling contracts, totalling 28km in length to two joint venture groups, with the first contract awarded to FCC Construction SA/China State Construction Engineering Corporation/Shibh Al-Jazira Contracting Company Joint Venture, and the second to Samsung C&T Corporation /Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co. Ltd/Saudi Archirodon Company Ltd Joint Venture.

CRCC to excavate 5km of tunnels in Saudi Arabia

China Railway 18th Bureau Group has been picked to excavate 5km of road tunnels near the city of Madinah in the Hijaz region of Saudi Arabia. Rua Al Madinah Holding Company awarded the 42-month contract valued at $970m. WSP and Parsons are among the consultants working on the project.

NPCC was awarded a contract by Saudi Aramco

NPCC, a wholly owned by National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC), has secured a contract with Saudi Aramco worth $2.2 billion for two packages on its Zuluf expansion project. The project is expected to be executed over three years.

Sohar Port & Freezone to build a steel rod manufacturing unit

In Oman, Sohar Port and Freezone signed an agreement with Sohar Steel Rolling to lease approximately 40,000 sqm of land for the construction of a steel rod manufacturing unit at the free zone. The project, estimated to cost over US$18 Million, includes the construction of facilities for smelting in the first phase and steel rolling in the second phase.

SCZONE signed an MoU to establish Port Said Automotive Zone

In Egypt, the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) signed an MoU with The Sovereign Fund of Egypt, East Port Said Development Company and Egyptian International Motors group to establish East Port Said Automotive Zone (EPAZ), an automobile industry complex in East Port Said Industrial Zone. EPAZ will house automobile and component manufacturing units and is expected to have an annual capacity of 75,000 vehicles in the first phase.
