Sharjah Ruler approves Al Mudina Water Tank project

In UAE, HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, approved the start of designing and construction of Al Mudina water tank in the emirate, which will have a capacity of 6 million m3.

The strategic project aims to ensure the provision of water in the region and will serve agriculture and livestock projects.

EWEC invites developers to submit EOI

Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) invited developers and developer consortiums to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the development of a new Khazna Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Independent Power Project (IPP), to be located in Al Khazna area of Abu Dhabi.

The Khazna Solar PV project, a greenfield solar power project will have a generation capacity of 1,500 megawatts. The deadline to submit the Expression of Interest is 2 October 2023.

RAK Properties announces Cape Hayat

RAK Properties announced its latest development Cape Hayat, comprising four residential towers – two with 20 storeys while the other 2 with 9 storeys. The development will create 688 apartments on Hayat Island within the Mina Al Arab development.

Select Group awards a contract for Peninsula Four

Select Group announced that it has awarded the construction contract for its Peninsula Four, The Plaza development to Al Basti & Muktha LLC. To be located in Dubai’s Business Bay, The Plaza will have a built-up area of 2,256,761 sq.ft, accommodating 1,025 premium units.

Knest signs a deal with ABR Jeddah Contracting

India’s largest and the world’s fastest-growing aluminium formwork company, Knest has signed a deal with Saudi Arabian ABR Jeddah Contracting Co to set up an aluminium formwork factory in the Kingdom.

The facility will boost aluminium formwork supply in Saudi Arabia and other Middle East and North African countries.

MODON signs an agreement with Vaccine Industrial

The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) signed an investment agreement with Vaccine Industrial Co. (Vaccine) to set up a US$133mn factory in Sadeer City.

It aims to strengthen the pharmaceutical security system and localize the manufacturing of vaccines and biomedicines in the Kingdom. The 42,000 square meter manufacturing facility will provide around 150 new jobs.

Rolling Plus sets up a new facility

In Egypt Rolling Plus tire manufacturing factory announced the setting up of a new facility at the Sokhna Industrial Zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) with an investment of US$1bn.

The project, to be spread on an area of 400,000 square meters, will have a production capacity of 7 million tires annually for passenger cars, and light and heavy transportation.
