Oman Gas Company Awards US$ 93.5 mn Gas pipeline supply contract for Duqm

A 230 kilometer gas pipeline project that is proposed to supply the Duqm Economic Zone at a cost of US$ 93.5 million (OMR 36 million), has been awarded by the Oman Gas Company.  According to Mansoor Al Abdali, acting general manager for engineering at the Oman Gas Company, tender for the construction works of the 36 inch pipeline would be announced soon and the project is expected to be completed by 2018, with the Duqm refinery likely to be the first consumer for the gas pipeline supply. The company also announced that the internal and external coatings for the pipeline would be provided will be provided locally in order to help stimulate the development of local industries.[..]

Samsung Engineering bagged US$800 Million deal to develop Algerian gas field

South Korean construction company Samsung Engineering announced that it had won a contract worth US$800 million to develop a gas field in Algeria. Under the contract, Samsung Engineering will build a central processing facility (CPF) and pipelines for the Timimoun gas field, about 800 kilometers southwest of Algiers, the capital of the North African country. The CPF will be capable of handling 177 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.[..]
