According to *Constructionweekonline news report, the Dubai government’s investment in road and transport infrastructure totals $27.2bn (AED100bn), according to the director general of the emirate’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Mattar Al Tayer, who is also chairman of RTA’s board of executive directors, revealed these details as part of a study that calculated the direct and indirect benefits of Dubai Metro’s Red and Green Lines.[..]
7th May 2014Dubai Municipality reported that it is planning to spend AED6 billion ($1.63 billion) to transform the emirate into a "green paradise" by 2025.
"We have plans for giant projects by 2025, which include the expansion of sewer lines and the irrigation network," said Salah Abdul Rahman Amiri, assistant director-general of the Municipality in comments published by news agency WAM.[..]
