UK-based economy hotel brand Premier Inn has revealed plans to open 30 properties in the Gulf region by 2020 as it looks to fill a gap in a market dominated by luxury accommodation. China State Construction Engineering Co (CSCEC) has won two contracts from Dubai-based developer Arenco Real Estate to build two new hotels at Palm Jumeirah. The hotels, which are on adjoining plots, will be five-star resort hotels of around 100,000 square meters each. They will both contain a basement, ground, 13 upper floors and a roof area. In total, the developments will house 592 standard rooms, 57 two-bay and three-bay suites as well as a presidential suite.[..]

HLS has been appointed under a contract of US$ 26.7 million (OMR 10.3 million) by Leighton Middle East, the Habtoor Leighton Group’s (HLG) Omani arm, to execute the complete MEP project on a hotel at the Saraya Bandar Jissah complex near Muscat.
