MEP contractor Habtoor Leighton Specon (HLS) has announced its winning of three contracts worth a total of US$ 47 million (AED 174 million). HLSprojects

HLS has been appointed under a contract of US$ 26.7 million (OMR 10.3 million) by Leighton Middle East, the Habtoor Leighton Group’s (HLG) Omani arm, to execute the complete MEP project on a hotel at the Saraya Bandar Jissah complex near Muscat. The scope of works on the five-star, 206-room hotel includes fire fighting, extra low voltage and fuel handling systems.[..]

Veolia wins US$ 50 mn water treatment project for Khazzan gas field in Oman

 Veolia has been selected by BP to design, build and operate a raw water treatment plant for the latter’s project to develop the Khazzan gas field, located southwest of Muscat in Oman. According to Veolia, water production is an essential step in implementing the Khazzan project, which is highly significant for the Omani economy, and which is planned to comprise up to 300 gas wells to deliver, in 2017, plateau production of 28.3mn m3 of gas per day.[..]

Thailand's Centara to open Hotel in Muscat

Thailand’s largest operator of hotels, Centara Hotels and Resorts confirmed plans to open a four-star hotel in Oman as part of its expansion in the Middle East.
