Acciona wins its first water contract in Oman worth US$ 25.7 mn

Acciona Agua won the tender for the operation, maintenance and technical redesign of the Sohar desalination plant, for around 20 million euros. Majis Industrial Services, a publicly-owned company of the Sultanate of Oman, has awarded ACCIONA Agua - in a consortium with Sogex Oman LLC, part of the Bahwan Group, - a contract for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the desalination plant at Sohar, a port located 230 kilometers north-east of the country's capital Muscat. Bahrain Ministry of Works awards Xylem US$ 7.3 mn wastewater works contract

Global water technology company Xylem has been awarded a US$ 7.3 million contract with Bahrain’s Ministry of Works to upgrade a wastewater treatment facility in Manama.Under the contract, Xylem will design, install and commission an expansion and upgrade of the existing Wedeco ozone systems at the Tubli Water Pollution Control Centre (TWPCC). As a result of the upgrade, the Tubli plant will be the largest ozone wastewater treatment plant in the Middle East. The upgrade work will be completed within 16 months and is due to be ready for operation at the end of 2015.[..]
