Adnoc awards EPC contract worth US$8.2bn

In UAE, Adnoc awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract worth US$8.2bn for offshore facilities at the Hail and Gasha development project to a joint venture between National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) and Saipem.

A second EPC contract worth US$8.74bn for onshore projects, including carbon dioxide and sulphur recovery, was awarded to Tecnimont.

Petrofac wins an EPC contract by ADNOC Gas

Petrofac was awarded an EPC contract by ADNOC Gas for its Habshan Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) project.

The contract, valued at over US$600 million involves the delivery of carbon capture units, associated pipeline infrastructure and a network of wells for carbon dioxide (CO2) recovery and injection.

Arada awards two contracts for Jouri Hills

Arada has awarded two contracts to build all 294 luxury homes at its first project in Dubai, Jouri Hills at Jumeirah Golf Estates.

Valued at US$175mn, the main contract was awarded to local contractor Intermass, a UAE-based contractor and is scheduled to take 21 months to complete. The US$14.7mn landscape and infrastructure contract at Jouri Hills was awarded to Proscape.

Prestige One Developments awarded Saleh Constructions the main contract for the Vista by Prestige One project. LACASA is the consultant for the US$95mn residential development in Dubai Sports City.

KSA’s PIF to develop Jeddah historic district

In Saudi Arabia, The Public Investment Fund has established a new company to develop the historic Jeddah district of Al Balad into a global tourist destination.

Al Balad Development Co. will work to improve the infrastructure of the region, supervise the restoration of historical buildings in the area, and develop service facilities. It will also oversee the creation of 9,300 homes and 1,800 hotel units, across an area of 2.5 million sq. meters.

Saudi Electricity Company awards new contracts

Saudi Electricity Company awarded Nesma Infrastructure & Technology (NIT) contracts to design, build and commission two transmission substations along with the corresponding overhead transmission lines and connection to the grid in Trojena within Neom. The projects, valued at US$213 Mn will have a 20-month delivery schedule.

SWPC issues RFP for Jubail-Buraydah water pipeline project

Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has issued request for proposals (RFP) for the planned Jubail-Buraydah independent water transmission pipeline (IWTP) project to the pre-qualified bidders.

The project will have a transmission capacity of 650,000 m3 per day and cover a length of 605km.
