Dubai's Rashid Hospital US$ 43 mn expansion on track for completion in May

Expansion works at Dubai’s Rashid Hospital’s Trauma and Emergency Centre in on target for completion in May.
In a statement, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) said that the US$ 43 million project was 60 percent complete. When finished the centre will have 160 hospital beds. The expansion of the trauma centre is the first phase of the Rashid Hospital master plan that was announced in May 2013.
The US$ 490 million (AED3 billion) project includes six new specialised health centres, one four-star and another five-star hotel, villas and flats for staff accommodation, a mosque, lake way and landscaping and open spaces for children and families. The main hospital will be rebuilt and will have three towers. Each tower will be seven storied and will have 300 beds - bringing the total capacity to 900 beds.
