Expo City Dubai awards four key contracts

Master Developer Expo City Dubai awarded four key contracts for the construction of the Mangrove Residences project. Shapoorji Pallonji International has been appointed to handle the main construction work

The local demolition company USF won the contract to remove former Expo 2020 Dubai pavilions and existing structures on the designated plot; Proscape bagged the infrastructure and clearance works; and International Foundation Group (IFG) won the enabling and shoring works.

Vantage Properties partners with Vittoria Group Costruzioni 

UAE’s Vantage Properties has signed a co-development memorandum of understanding with Italian developer Vittoria Group Costruzioni for the development of two 20-storey buildings comprising 260 luxury apartments within its US$100 Mn flagship projects – LIVEL RESIDENZA & APTOS RESIDENZA – located in Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC). ArchCorp is the lead consultant on the projects.

Adnoc awards US$5.5 Bn EPC contract 

Adnoc approved the construction of a low-carbon liquefied natural gas project and awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction contract valued at about US$5.5 Bn to a joint venture comprising Technip Energies, JGC Corporation, and NMDC Energy.

The project in Al Ruwais Industrial City will be the first LNG export complex in the Mena region to run on clean power.

 Broaden Energy partners with Abu Dhabi DED

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development has signed a preliminary agreement with energy solutions company Broaden Energy, which will invest US$272.3 Mn in Abu Dhabi to open a hydrogen equipment manufacturing centre. 

The facility will be the first hydrogen equipment manufacturing complex in the emirate.

RGA and NCP launches EOI for Aseer – Jazan Highway Project

The Roads General Authority (RGA), Saudi Arabia in collaboration with the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP) announced that they had received an Expression of Interest (EOI) from 69 companies for the Aseer – Jazan Highway construction contract.

The 136 km long highway comprising 3 lanes in each direction will have 6 intersections, 57 bridges with total length of 18 km, and 11 tunnels with a total length of 9.2 km.

Kuwait’s DGCA awards Kuwait International Airport contract 

Dar has been awarded a landmark contract by Kuwait’s Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) to provide design and construction supervision services at Kuwait International Airport (KIA). The scope of work includes upgrading the central runway and associated taxiways to a length of 4,300 meters. 

The cargo apron finishing, which involves the expansion of the cargo apron to 1.5 km², designed to accommodate 77 aircraft stands, aligning with future logistical demands. Establishing a new VVIP (AMIRI) Apron, including dedicated aircraft stands and a run-up area to cater to distinguished guests and developing airport support infrastructure aimed at augmenting the capacity of existing facilities and meeting the anticipated future needs, encompassing transportation and utility services.

RCSI Bahrain expands its campus with an investment of US$45 Mn

The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) announced its plans to expand its campus with an investment of US$45 Mn. 

Nass Corporation was awarded the contract to construct the University’s campus expansion project which will include a state-of-the-art academic building with the addition of 7,912 sqm of usable space, featuring the addition of enhanced teaching facilities, cutting-edge research labs, a modern library, social spaces, and a spacious event hall.
