Arada to build 649 upscale apartments in Aljada

Sharjah-based developer Arada has awarded an AED395 million ($108 million) contract to Gulf Asia Contracting Company (GAC) for the construction of Nasaq District, a cluster of six upscale apartment buildings located within its mega mixed-use community Aljada. Nasaq District will boast 649 homes ranging from one- to three-bedroom apartments characterised by stylish and contemporary architecture.

Each block offers residents direct access to Aljada’s tree-lined East Boulevard, which brings a wide variety of shopping and dining experiences, and the community’s urban linear park, which includes extensive sporting facilities. Construction is set to begin soon on the Nasaq District, and the entire work will be completed within two years, said a top official.

RAK Properties appoints a contractor for Bay Residences

RAK Properties appoints Gulf Asia as the main contractor for the second phase of Bay Residences and has released the tenders for two of the six plots allocated to the upcoming beachfront residential buildings on Hayat Island, Mina Al Arab. The developer said the remaining four plots for the Bay Area apartments project are under the final design stage.

Iraq to boost connectivity with Turkey through new rail line

Iraq is planning to import high-speed electric trains for the planned rail line stretching from its Southern part to Turkey in the North. Supply of the 300-kph trains will be completed in 2028 when the rail within the planned $17-billion “Development Road” is completed.

Red Sea tourism opens the first phase in 2023

Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Global (RSG) released an update on the construction progress across the first phase of The Red Sea tourism destination. The giga-project was announced by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman as part of the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision six years ago this month.

The company said in a press statement that the Red Sea’s first three hotels and phase one of its international airport are on track to open later this year.

Saudi-Qatari venture wins a SEVEN contract

Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has awarded the main construction contract for its new US$346.54 million entertainment destination in Almadinah to a Saudi-Qatari venture. BUJV, a joint venture between Saudi-based Al Bawani Co. and Qatar-headquartered UrbaCon Trading & Contracting, will undertake construction work.
