Doors will open to the public for the first time at 10.00 a.m. on 19th November, days ahead of the 2014 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Looking ahead, the mall is also expecting to attract significant traffic over the festive and New Year periods.
Yas Mall will be one of the largest retail and entertainment venues in the region. Its spacious design caters to the increasingly sophisticated needs of retailers and visitors, providing people of all ages and interests including families and tourists with an unmatched shopping, dining and entertainment experience. Mohammed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chief Executive Officer of Aldar Properties PJSC commented:
“The opening of Yas Mall is a major milestone for Aldar. The mall will add significantly to the Yas Island experience, complimenting attractions that include Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and the island’s seven hotels, as well as the Yas Marina Circuit, Yas Links golf course, and Yas Waterworld. Starting 19th November, visitors will enjoy an unparalleled shopping experience, with a wide array of brands brought to the Capital and to the region for the first time. We are immensely proud as a company to bring this world-class retail and entertainment destination to Abu Dhabi.”
More than just a shopping destination, Yas Mall will provide its visitors with a wide range of retail, dining and entertainment offerings within an exceptionally vibrant shopping environment. With natural scenery and bright avenues, customers will enjoy an outdoor shopping experience indoors. At the mall, visitors will be right where it’s all happening, as they can spend a day catching up with friends, enjoying a meal within a wide range of dining options, taking in a movie at the mall’s distinguished cinema, and visiting a range of local and international brands, some of which are new to the Emirates.
With hundreds of stores and a superb range of offerings under one roof, a few highlights found at the mall include the largest Debenhams outside of the UK and Abu Dhabi’s first Hamleys toy store, as well as the first Lego Concept store in the region. Yas Mall will also offer more than 60 food and beverage offers, including the Capital’s first Cheesecake Factory and Angelina, along with the region’s first Rogo’s Rollercoaster Restaurant. 20 VOX screens will bring even more excitement to Abu Dhabi, with the Emirate’s first 4Dx technology and biggest VOX Max screen including three Gold cinemas. Yas Mall also has a direct link to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, opening up a range of exhilarating entertainment options.
Yas Island’s easily accessible location allows visitors to reach the mall with incredible ease, as it is located 15 minutes from the city centre and 45 minutes from Dubai, and has a direct connection to the highway and nearly 10,000 covered parking spaces.
