5 game-changing mega projects set to transform Qatar

The facility will produce an additional 32 million tons per annum (mtpa) of LNG, which will raise Qatar’s production from 77 to 110 mtpa. The first liquefied natural gas (LNG) train from the North Field East development is expected to come online in mid-2026.
Urea Production Complex at Mesiaeed Industrial City (QatarEnergy 8)
The project calls for the construction of a world-scale urea production complex at Mesaieed Industrial City. The scope of work entails construction of 3 ammonia production lines that will supply feedstock to 4 new world-scale urea production trains in MIC.


Simaisma Project
Simaisma project will span 8 million square metres and extend along seven kilometres of pristine beachfront on Qatar’s eastern coast, providing novel tourist and entertainment experiences. It will host 16 tourism zones available for private-sector development, including resorts that will be spread out over four zones.
NGL 5 Plant in Mesaieed Industrial City
The NGL-5 plant will have a nameplate capacity of 350 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) and will produce sales gas, ethane, propane, butane, paraffinic naphtha and liquid sulfur.


North Field Production Sustainability (NFPS) Phase 2 - Compression Facilities Project Phase 3 (COMP5)
The scope of work entails construction of two gas compression platforms each weighing around 35,000 tonnes and jacket, two gas flare platforms and jacket, two living quarter platforms and jacket, and brownfield modification works at two complexes.
