Alshaya plans mega mall in Egypt; US$ 3 bn investments in Egypt over next four years

M H Alshaya Company, a leading retail franchise group headquartered in Kuwait, has plans to build a mega mall in Egypt, a senior executive of the company was quoted as saying.


The group could invest up to US$3 billion in the country in the next four years, Alshaya executive chairman Mohammed Abdul Aziz Alshaya was quoted as saying, according to news reports in Trade Arabia.

The group will focus its investments on constructing a mega mall on an area of 120 acres, he said. Alshaya is a franchise operator for over 55 of the world's most recognized retail brands.
