Bahrain floats RFP to work on historic municipal building
Posted on 8th July 2019
According to *Constructionweekonline news report, Bahrain has floated a request for proposal (RFP) calling on structural consultancy companies to work on a municipality building with “historical and cultural significance”.
Issued by the kingdom’s Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs, and Urban Planning, the RFP calls on consultants to provide structural assessment of the building.
The ministry requires analytical tests to be carried out in line with the building’s requirements, as ascertained by an “overall evaluation” of the structure.
On Bahrain’s Tender Board, the ministry’s RFP states: “Due to the age of the building and its historical and cultural significance, the renovation and maintenance works must be in accordance with the high value of the building.”
The RFP’s closing date is 28 July, and the ministry will open RFP bids on 29 July.
Companies that are qualified and wish to participate in the process must purchase tender documents online through Bahrain Tender Board’s portal, https://e-tendering.tenderboard.gov.bh.
The tender’s fee is listed at $40 (BHD15), and an initial bond of $265 (BHD100), valid for six months, must accompany the tender.Back to all Construction News
