Iraq to construct 3,812 homes in Southeastern Maysan Governorate

Iraq has announced plans to construct a total of 3,812 homes in the southeastern Maysan governorate on a 1.6-million-sq-m area, according to Reuters.


The privately-funded project will also include schools, health centres and a civil defence centre, said the report citing the Iraqi news network Mawazine News, according to Tradearabia news report.

The upcoming development will have houses of three different sizes - 212 sq m, 160 sq m and 127 sq m in area.

The government has already won approval for the project and is now set to invite developers and other investors for the mega development, stated the report.

It will be completed within three years, it added.
