KSA 's Royal Commssion for Jubail and Yanbu awards infrastructure contracts

Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan Al-Saud, chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), has signed two contracts to develop infrastructure in Yanbu Industrial City, Arab News reports.


The first contract was signed with China Harbor Company Engineering Arabia Ltd., which will work on the construction and development of Al-Meena Street in Yanbu Industrial City. This work includes creating intersections, drainage network, bridges between the highway and Al-Meena Street, landscaping, lighting, providing equipment, materials, testing and commissioning. The implementation period of this project is two years.

Imar Urban Consultants was awarded the second contract to prepare the designs, blueprints, awarding documents and giveaways for construction work in developing the coastal road and essential facilities in Jubail Industrial City. The implementation period is five years.

A third contract was also signed to provide school transport services for students. RCJY failed to disclose the individual values of each contract but revealed that the combined value of the three agreements is worth US$ 53.2 million (SAR 199.73 million).
