Kuwait’s Al-Ahmadi Refinery to be commissioned by early-2020

According to *Constructionweekonline news report, Spanish-based contractor Tecnicas Reunidas has reportedly revealed that the development of a fifth gas train in Kuwait’s Al-Ahmadi Refinery is “almost completed”.
According to news publication Reuters, which cited a number of Arabic outlets, the project could be commissioned by early-2020, and the Spanish contractor has informed Kuwait National Petroleum Company that the development is 95% completed.
The fifth train is part of an ongoing gas development programme in Kuwait and will be operated on a trial basis in September or October, according to the report.
Kuwait National Petroleum Company reportedly said the project was worth $1.43bn (AED5.2bn) and would produce 800 million ft3.
Upon completion, the train will raise Kuwait National Petroleum Company's total gas processing capacity to nearly 2.8 billion ft3 per day.
