Major Ongoing and Planned Airport Projects in the Middle East

According to a study published for the Airport Show 2013, the GCC airports are expected Airport Towerto handle as much as 250 million passengers by 2020, while Dubai is set to become the world’s busiest airport by 2015. It is also estimated that Middle East will have the third-fastest passenger growth rate of 6.6 per cent by 2016. To facilitate this huge traffic movement, airports in the GCC as well as the wider Middle East countries are either undergoing massive expansion or the countries have commenced construction or announced plans for new airport developments.
