SSH wins two major design contracts in Qatar

SSH, a leading architecture and engineering firm, has won contracts to design two major projects in Qatar, including the Specialist Clinical Centre for Dental, Dermatology and Diabetes Services in Hamad Medical City and the Wakrah Mall, according to news reports.


This was revealed at the launch of its Qatar office at an event held in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha, according to Trade Arabia news.

Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) awarded SSH the contract to design the new Specialist Clinical Centre for Dental, Dermatology and Diabetes Services, on behalf of Hamad Medical Corporation.

The project will have six interconnected buildings consisting of a shared three-level basement covering 64,000 sq m and ground floor plus four upper levels totalling 61,000 square meters.

The facility aims to provide a perfect platform for the development of a new “super-clinic” care facility, said a statement.

Wakrah Mall, by E’EMAR Development & Real Estate Investment, will include retail shopping areas, a hypermarket, restaurants and sports and recreational activities, at the heart of the emergent city of Al Wakrah.

SSH scope of services includes multi-disciplinary design services for the new mall located at the main Wakrah Road, with a built-up area of approximately 50,000 square meters.
