UAE Construction industry to see 17% rise in contractor awards in 2014
Posted on 15th June 2014The UAE construction industry is expected to witness contractor awards totaling to over US$47 Billion in 2014. In 2013, the value of total contracts awarded to contractors was valued at over US$40 Billion, thus forecasting a growth of 17% in 2014. This includes contracts awarded in project sectors – Buildings, Industrial, Infrastructure and Energy.
National Petroleum Construction Co. (NPCC), Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Arabtec, Al Jaber Transport and General Contracting, Ghantoot Transport & General Contracting and Al Futtaim Carillion tops the list of contractors in terms of value of contracts awarded in 2014 till date.
