Deyaar unveils masterplan for new US$ 952 mn Midtown project

Deyaar Development on Sunday unveiled the master plan of its upscale AED 3.5 billion (US$ 952 million) 'Midtown by Deyaar' project which will include a total of 27 buildings, according to a statement released on the first day of Cityscape Global 2014, by the company.  The 5.5 million square feet master plan comprises two hotels on the northern and southern tips, along with 13 separate residential buildings on the east side of the development, and 12 buildings clustered into four groups.[..]

French retail giant Monoprix signs up for Doha Festival City

Doha Festival City has announced plans to partner with Ali Bin Ali Group to bring the first full-sized Monoprix store to Doha. Monoprix, which has 500 stores in France, and 85 stores outside of France, sells international food, cosmetic and fashion brands and will take a 7,100 sq m store on the ground floor of mall which is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2016.[..]

Dubai Holding the construction conglomerate that includes the Jumeirah group,  is launching a project to build an entertainment and hotel district that will include the world's largest shopping mall, the emirate's ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, revealed to Reuters on Saturday.  The eight million square ft "Mall of the World", for which plans had been revealed 18 months ago,  will be connected to a theme park, theatres, medical tourism facilities and 100 hotels and serviced apartments.[..]
