Makkah Municipality launches a new EOI
In Saudi Arabia, The Holy Makkah Municipality (HMM), in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing (MOMAH) and the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP) announced the launch of the Expression of Interest (EOI) and Request for Qualification (RFQ) for the Joint Development Project on Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Road (Makkah – Alhada), a major mixed-use development opportunity in Makkah.
The development will include a shopping mall, two hospitals, a 200-bed long-term care facility and a 100-bed multi-specialty hospital with associated infrastructure, landscaped open spaces, and parking for approximately 2,800 cars.
Dubai Holding and Select Group partner with ESIC for two projects
In UAE, Dubai Holding and Select Group, along with its long-standing JV partner, Emirates Strategic Investments Company LLC (ESIC), have entered a strategic agreement to develop landmark projects at two of the most iconic locations in Dubai – Palm Jebel Ali and Dubai Design District (d3).
The milestone agreement marks Dubai Holding’s first strategic land sale with a third-party developer at Palm Jebel Ali. Select Group will develop and deliver two transformative large-scale developments. At Palm Jebel Ali, the Group will create upscale residential and hospitality offerings while the d3 project will serve as a vibrant mixed-use community.
Shamal awards Dubai Harbour Residences contract
Dubai based Shamal awarded the main construction contract worth over US$272 billion for its Dubai Harbour Residences project to Khansaheb Civil Engineering. Dubai Harbour Residences will offer low-rise beachfront living of well-designed homes, sea and skyline views, and a lifestyle that balances comfort, connection, and modern elegance. Nikken Sekkei is the project architect while H&H is the project’s development partner.
Dubai South Properties launches Hayat
Dubai South Properties announced the launch of Hayat, a new master-planned community spanning 10 million square feet. The project, located in the Golf District of Dubai South will feature approximately 2,500 residential units. The first phase of the development is scheduled for completion in Q2 2028.
Kuwait invites companies to participate in Al Muthanna Complex tender
The State of Kuwait, through the Authority for Partnership Projects, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, invited interested companies and consortia to participate in Public Tender for the development of Al Muthanna Complex Real Estate Project located in Kuwait City.
The Project Scope includes rehabilitation, development, renovation, major maintenance, management, operation, and routine maintenance of the Al Muthanna Complex Real Estate Project, consisting of Plot Nos. 16 and 17 with a total land area of 17,183 square meters.
Hassan Allam Construction wins a contract
In Egypt, Hassan Allam Holding announced that its subsidiary, Hassan Allam Construction, in joint venture with Water and Environment Technologies Company (WETICO), is awarded Engineering, Procurement, and Construction work for the Abu Qir Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) Desalination Plant, located in Alexandria, Egypt. The state-of-the-art desalination facility will have a production capacity of 80,000 cubic meters per day.
