Kent secures US$1.1 Bn EPCM contract
Kent was awarded a major Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) contract by ADNOC Gas, valued at approximately US$1.1 billion, for the optimisation and expansion of its Asab and Buhasa gas processing facilities. The award is part of ADNOC Gas’ broader $5 billion Rich Gas Development (RGD) Project, a strategic initiative designed to unlock new gas reservoirs, boost liquid gas exports and enhance gas self-sufficiency for the UAE.
Kent’s scope will focus on debottlenecking and optimising existing assets at the Asab and Buhasa sites, enabling increased throughput and improved operational efficiency to meet growing energy demands.
ADNOC partners with John Wood Group for Habshan facility
John Wood Group PLC (‘Wood’) announced that it has been awarded a contract by ADNOC to deliver an EPCM package for the long-term gas processing facilities at the UAE’s Habshan facility. The value of the contract is US$2.8 billion. Petrofac also bagged an EPCM contract from ADNOC Gas valued at US$1.2 billion to expand its gas production facilities on Das Island.
Royal Development Holding partners with SAAS Properties
Royal Development Holding, a subsidiary of Emirates Stallions Group, has partnered with UAE-based luxury property developer SAAS Properties to launch its inaugural project, a US$436 Mn branded residences development on Al Reem Island. This landmark venture will introduce Marriott’s prestigious Autograph Collection Residences to Al Reem Island and the first time in Abu Dhabi.
ELLE expands its luxury residential concept to the Middle East
The fashion and lifestyle brand Elle is set to make its Middle East debut with an exclusive residential project on Dubai Islands valued at US$122.5 million in partnership with Anax Developments. The One Atelier and Arquinaut will lead the design and execution of the project.
Kuwait Invites Bids for 1,100 MW Solar PV Project
In Kuwait, The Bidding Committee of Al Dibdibah Power and Al Shagaya Renewable Energy – Phase III – Zone 1 Solar PV IPP in coordination with Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP), and the Ministry of Electricity & Water & Renewable Energy (MEWRE) invited qualified bidders to participate in the Request for Proposal for the project with a net capacity of 1,100 MWs of power.
The qualified consortiums and companies include ACWA Power, EDF Renouvelables, Masdar, Jinko Power Company, Trung Nam Construction Investment Corp. and TotalEnergies.
Rock Developments launches a project in New Heliopolis
In Egypt, Rock Developments is set to announce its latest project in East Cairo soon. Spanning 17 feddans in New Heliopolis, the development will maintain a low building footprint—limited to just 15%—with over 85% of the land dedicated to landscaped gardens and open green space. The project will feature a diverse range of residential units and standalone villas and also include jogging and walking tracks, children’s play areas, co-working spaces, reading zones, a sports area, and pet-friendly spaces.
